Preseason has officially kicked off on the 28th of July and is well underway with strong numbers and excellent standards.

We have retained most of our senior playing group, with Michael Wallace retiring from Premier Cricket along with Lachie Sperling, who has relocated to Geelong and will play local cricket. We thank both for their enormous contribution to the club with both being past 1st XI Captains.

In the Premier Cricket competition, we have taken steps to bolster our teams’ overall depth across the 4 Senior XIs, the U18 Pathway and the U16 Dowling Shield. Our coaches have recruited new and exciting young prospects to improve our depth across all grades; namely Matt Calder (who those will remember scored a magnificent century, followed by a 60 in two T20 matches for us last season), Jackson Isakka, Daud Malik, Jack Stevenson, Vinu Mahotty, and Nick England.

In another exciting development, the club is adding U15 sides. One for boys on a Sunday morning in a local turf competition and we now have the prospect of our first Girl’s team that will compete in a Cricket Victoria competition. This step has been taken to further promote and develop junior players coming into our cricket program.

The club has a busy off-field agenda to push in the coming season as we look to expand our influence in the Premier Cricket competition and the Casey Region.
